Compliance Administrator
Location:  Home based with some requirement to travel to Leeds or London

The Company 

HooYu is an innovative global identity verification product for a multitude of markets including financial markets, online gaming and the sharing economy. This exciting new ID solution uses the latest social, biometric and image processing technologies to solve the problem of knowing who you are dealing with whether they are next door or on the other side of the world. Unlike existing solutions, it does not rely on access to electronic databases to verify identities and is therefore a truly global solution.

HooYu also offers other identity verification solutions to help businesses comply with Anti Money Laundering (AML) / Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.

The 192.com\HooYu management team have many years’ experience in the identity industry, having previously built a market leading business, which was subsequently acquired by Experian.

The Position

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong written and spoken English language and documentation skills coupled with the ability to absorb large amounts of information in written form quickly, and demonstrable background in information technology and/or information security.

You will join the company’s Compliance Administration team. You will learn to assist the CTO/CISO and other team members with information security audits, risk modeling and diligence questionnaires and will be expected to become very familiar with designated industry standards, such as the ISO 27000 suite, ISO 9001, Cyber Essentials, PCI DSS and SOC2 among others and will work closely with the other team members in managing company information security, data privacy and compliance policies, standards, procedures and guidelines. You will receive formal training and certification as well as direct on-the-job training in the areas relevant to your role identified by the CTO/CISO. You will also work closely with the IT team, platform development and engineering teams, and Product and QA teams, and will be involved in every aspect of the business across all departments.

The successful candidate must be articulate, have a genuine interest in information security and have a naturally strong attention to detail.

Key role requirements:
  • Participation in standards certification, customer, data provider and internal compliance, security and data privacy audits.
  • Primary responsibility for managing the company infosec and data privacy training portal and ensuring that all staff are meeting their compliance training requirements.
  • Assuming a primary responsibility for responding to client and data provider diligence questionnaires.
  • Reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis or as otherwise required
  • Achieve agreed personal targets and assist Compliance team to achieve team targets
  • Ensure compliance to relevant codes, legislation and procedures including health and safety
  • Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
  • Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to the Compliance team.
  • Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole
  • Adhere to all organisation policies, procedures and standards
  • Interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation, its suppliers and clients/customers
  • From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least two years experience with ISO 27001 compliance
  • Demonstrable attention to detail, process driven and precise
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft office skills and experience
Desirable Skills and Experience:

Whilst an individual candidate may not possess all of the following skills, some experience in a number of these would be advantageous.

  • Some technical background in software development and/or systems engineering
  • Experience implementing and/or with certification auditing for ISO 27001 or similar standard
  • Experience with compliance process automation and/or automation products
