The Company

HooYu is a global customer onboarding platform designed to increase the integrity of KYC and maximise the success of customer onboarding. The HooYu KYC platform is trusted by tier one banks such as NatWest, challenger banks such as Countingup, and online gaming firms such as Betfred.

HooYu blends UI & UX features to build a smooth digital verification journey with a range of identity validation technologies to help regulated firms know who they’re dealing with.  Unlike existing solutions, it does not rely on access to electronic databases to verify identities and is therefore a truly global solution.

We are now ready to release our digital identity proposition where a user can create their digital identity using the HooYu app and re-assert their digital identity to relying parties. We are working with government, industry schemes and relying parties such as banks, lenders, estate agents, conveyancers and online gaming operators to help digital identity become reality.

The Position

Serve as the market-facing product evangelist for the HooYu Digital Identity (DiD) product. This role serves as the focal point for product, sales and marketing to help us go to market with our digital identity proposition. This role will involve the UK and other geographies where there is significant opportunity in the digital identity market.

Responsibilities

  • Use a deep knowledge of the UK’s Digital Identity Trust Framework (DITF) to liaise with DCMS and other relevant stakeholders to drive HooYu input and participation in developing the DITF
  • Identify and qualify DiD schemes and industry pilots and work with product, sales & marketing to participate in agreed pilots
  • Steer DCMS and DiD schemes towards the HooYu vision of DiD
  • Work with sales to identify opportunities where we may choose to run our own DiD schemes with HooYu clients  
  • Work with our product team to establish product-market-fit and help product team to determine feature development to match market requirements
  • Serve as regulatory expert as to how digital identity can be used in regulated markets
  • Work with the marketing team to devise content and campaigns to promote our DiD capability
  • Serve as a market-facing expert for the sales team when clients want to understand our DiD capability  
  • Work with the Channel Sales Manager to identify and gain traction with potential DiD partners
  • Uncover opportunities for our standard services such as ID document validation where DiD stakeholders have a requirement   
  • Follow the same process and responsibilities in DACH markets as HooYu enters DACH 
  • Research and prioritise our investment in DiD in other non-UK markets
  • Compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards

Skills & proficiencies

  • 5+ years’ experience in the identity verification industry, in a market facing role such as sales, marketing, product, client success
  • Experience and / or working knowledge of Digital Identity Programmes, such as UKGov.verify will be a distinct advantage, though not mandatory
  • Dynamic personality, able to effectively engage a variety of audiences at all levels of a business
  • Confident communication (written and oral) skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organizations
  • A focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation setting and completion of planned deliverables
  • Business acumen, sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills, a highly consultative approach to managing an array of relationships
  • Ability to digest and understand regulatory concepts and communicate these to stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remain motivated
