The Company 

HooYu is an innovative global identity verification product for a multitude of markets, fundamentally focused upon those operating within financial markets, online gaming and the sharing economy. This ”HooYu Identify” solution uses identity methods such as (but not limited to),  social, biometric and image processing technologies to solve the problem faced by businesses of all types and sizes in needing to know who they are dealing with  and gaining confidence in the identities of their often global customer base. We deliver an array of configurable identity methods, across multiple technologies to create appropriate journeys to meet the regulatory or risk requirements faced by our clients whilst focusing, obsessively on the user experience.

The HooYu management team have many years’ experience in the identity industry, having successfully previously built multiple solutions and identity businesses several of which were subsequently acquired by market leading businesses.

The client base covers both regulated (Gaming, Financial Services) and non-regulated (Sharing Economy) sectors across the UK and international marketplace, and a variety of customer sizes from start-ups through to multi-national organisations.

The Position 

The individual will, with the support of the Sales and Marketing Directors, be responsible for the initial creation, establishment, deployment, execution and development of a strategic go to market Channel Partner plan. This newly created role has been identified as critical to the continued growth of the business as we look to further our reach into specific targeted sectors together with new and existing geographies beyond the UK. Once permitted again, this role may require international travel when required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Actively identify strategic and transformational channel partners that complement the current direct sales strategy.
  • Enhance strategic business execution and accelerate revenue growth across all relevant sectors but primarily in Financial Services & Gaming.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Directors to create commercial relationships with these identified channel partners that are of commercial benefit to HooYu, the channel partner and end customer alike.
  • Actively and professionally lead and manage the entire life cycle of the channel partner from initial partner identification, engagement through to legal agreement, delivery and ongoing excellent relationship management and customer service.
  • Work with Sales Director to ensure the relevant array of channel partner contract  are as required where in existence, or are requested for creation.
  • Expand the HooYu business network within the markets that we serve including but not limited to Consultancies, Outsourcers, Platform Providers, Advisors, System Integrators, Resellers, Complementary Third Parties and also identify capabilities and content which HooYu could utilise to enhance our strategic execution.
  • Effectively communicating and working alongside other stakeholder departments to ensure successful execution of strategic partnerships and alliances for market effectiveness. This includes working with technical team to ensure optimum integrations into partner, with marketing to create marketing and training collateral, and commercial team to ensure mutually beneficial commercial agreements are struck.
  • Support the product evolution through the continued feedback to the business of gained knowledge of competitive channel solutions.
  • Effectively meet (and exceed) KPI and revenue goals as set by the Sales Director.
  • Write professional, clear and succinct proposals and documentation to educate and inform internal business.
  • Comply at all times with company policies, processes and procedures.
  • Once established conduct periodic business reviews with partners to monitor and understand partner activity and potential support proactively seek ways to help these partners grow, best serve their own customers and improve business performance together.

About you

  • Strong, evidence supported, commercial experience in Direct Sales and/or Partner-Channel Sales, ideally from the Technology industry, gained within a SaaS solution business.
  • Demonstrable track record in exceeding targets and commercial success across previous roles.
  • The ability to deeply understand the intricacies of a customer’s business problem and how the HooYu technology / solution can be deployed through specific channel partners to add value and solve specific end client’s business problems is of paramount importance.
  • Ability to succinctly assess any potential value opportunity that a partner can provide and accelerate (or decline) as necessary.
  • Ability to create valuable, trusted, genuine relationships in various environments, required in both a “covid and post covid world” including in-person, phone, email, and web meetings.
  • Must have high energy, ability to work at pace and present positivity in partner and internal dealings.
  • Ability and desire to demonstrate ownership of the role and an absolute understanding of the importance to the business growth aspirations.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to operate and communicate at both the most senior and operational levels within the target channel businesses.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented attitude to drive effective planning of collective activities to implement these plans. 
  • Knowledge of one or multiple verticals such as online gaming and financial services.
  • Experience of working within the identity verification market, and knowledge of the supporting date, technology and platform ecosystem a distinct advantage.
