Leading identity confirmation provider HooYu Identify has partnered with HouseSitMatch to verify the identity of users on its international house and pet sitting service.
HouseSitMatch caters to a gap in the market for home and pet owners that need house-sitters and pet-sitters when they travel away from home. HouseSitMatch is a resource that offers an international network that matches owners with sitters who have experience of house-sitting, home and pet care.
Trust is a key component of a successful peer-to-peer marketplace, giving its users confidence in using the community. In the case of HouseSitMatch, this is for individuals to feel safe looking after someone else’s pet and home, whilst also giving the homeowner the same level of security.
HouseSitMatch has integrated HooYu Identify to verify the identity of customers using the HouseSitMatch platform. Customers are asked to take a selfie, share their identity from online sources such as LinkedIn or Facebook and take a photo of their identity document.
HooYu Identify verifies the customer’s digital footprint, authenticates their ID document and conducts a biometric facial check comparing a selfie of the customer with the facial image on their ID document. HooYu Identify then examines, compares and cross-references customer identity across these multiple sources to deliver an identity confidence score.
