In partnering with HooYu, Veremark is now able to offer its clients a user-friendly and robust onboarding and verification solution to complement their existing IDV, Right to Work, and criminal record screening services.

Identity verification has always existed in background screening. However, last year, the UK government tabled legislation aimed at extending the benefits of digital identity verification to Right to Work and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
In June, HooYu received confirmation from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) that they had been awarded certification through the Digital Identity Certification Scheme (DICS) – making them one of the first companies in the UK to receive this digital identity trust stamp and placing them on a list of government-approved digital identity service providers (IDSPs).
Veremark’s global reach meant it was essential their IDV solutions provider was able to verify and detect fraudulent documents from all over the world. The HooYu platform has the capability to check global identity documents and can be deployed in 23 different languages, meaning there are fewer barriers to screening candidates from outside the UK and that candidates’ journey to employment has been made easier.
In addition, by focusing on the end user experience, HooYu have been able to provide user-friendly, customer-focused digital identity verification journeys that candidates find intuitive and helpful, and no bar to application.
