Vetting.com, London-based digital background screening platform, has partnered with Mitek Systems (formerly HooYu) to provide users with a digitised Right to Work and DBS identity screening solution.
Vetting.com provides cloud-based solutions designed to make background screening and referencing simpler, faster and more secure for both employees and applicants. The Vetting.com platform allows users to compile multiple checks in one package which can then be assigned to the applicant.
By choosing Mitek to partner with, Vetting.com is now able to offer its clients the option of digital identity checks as part of their Right to Work screening packages.
Identity verification has always existed in background screening. However, in April last year, it became possible for the first time for employers to use digital identity verification technology (IDVT) to remotely verify applicants’ identity as part of statutory Right to Work and criminal record checks.
In June, HooYu received confirmation from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) that it had been awarded certification through the Digital Identity Certification Scheme (DICS) – making it one of the first companies in the UK to receive this digital identity trust stamp and placing HooYu on a list of government-approved digital identity service providers (IDSPs). After being acquired in 2022 by Mitek Systems, HooYu became known as Mitek Systems.
